Re-Set: Empowering You to Move Forward

Empowering You to Move Forward

Life can leave us feeling lost at times; even overwhelmed. Stress and unprocessed traumas can overtake our mind and body, leaving us feeling mentally and physically unwell. We can end up isolated and feeling unsure about just about everything, especially how to make changes or move forward.

What we need is the opportunity to hit the Re-Set button and regain our ‘selves’. That's exactly what Re-Set is all about. Get the support you need to recover your confidence, move forward and find new friends while you’re at it!

Finding ‘You’ and getting strong.

Our primary goal is to enhance mind and body health.

We know that trying to manage the everyday stress of modern life, the trauma of specific events and/ or long term medical conditions can all take their toll. Please see below for our Re-Set Diabetes programme information.

Drawing on decades of research plus our years of experience working as trauma-informed practitioners; employing stress regulation techniques with our knowledge of delivering community education, we have developed ‘Re-Set’ .

Throughout this free programme, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how stress impacts you physically and emotionally. We'll guide you in learning effective strategies to regulate and manage stress, bringing you to a place of overall well-being.

Additionally, we'll help you build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and develop positive habits and hobbies through therapeutic activities that include but are not limited to:

  • Art therapy

  • Gardening and connecting with nature

  • Animal interactions

  • Yoga and meditation exercises

  • Health, nutrition, and well-being

During the sessions, you'll also enjoy free healthy refreshments to keep you energised and nourished.

Re-Set Diabetes

We are delighted to be supported by the Paula Carr Diabetes Trust to deliver a new Re-Set programme especially for those living with diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2, and their families.

As well as the key elements of Re-Set including how stress and unprocessed trauma are closely related to your blood sugar levels, there are additional opportunities to work with a dietitian and a podiatrist, in person, who will answer your specific questions; you can understand more about your diabetes and what your blood results mean and what questions you should be asking your healthcare professionals.

We aim to bring in more specific clinicians and associated professionals to make sure you can receive the best care whilst understanding what you can do to live an enjoyable and healthy life.

Please contact the Re-Set team and ask about our Re-Set Diabetes programme to find out more.

Additional Support and Follow-up

We understand that everyone's journey is unique, and we're here to support you beyond your Re-set programme. We run drop-in sessions at least once a month and we can provide information and signpost you to other available support services tailored to your needs and interests. We'll also follow up with you after the programme to see how you're progressing.
